FRAMEWORK

Hands-on Residency is an intensive two-month online programme dedicated to supporting emerging talents, by fostering creative development and professional growth.

Open to visual artists from different backgrounds (painting, drawing, sculpture, ceramics, photography), the residency invites participants to immerse in artistic research while remaining rooted in the familiarity of their own spaces.

Artists will engage in a structured yet flexible programme that combines individual project development with collaborative opportunities. The residency emphasises critical dialogue, knowledge exchange, and cross-cultural collaborations, fostering an international community of peers and professionals.

The residency culminates in a final online group exhibition, offering participants the chance to showcase their work while positioning themselves within the global art ecosystem.

Your time during the residency

The residency will be hosted on Teams, providing artists with a dedicated forum for mutual support and collaborative activities.
Private class chats (based on mediums) will be available with a mentor, who will offer one-on-one meetings to refine individual projects and remain accessible for any questions or additional assistance throughout the residency.
Participants will have access to a comprehensive calendar detailing all upcoming events and activities, as well as a shared space where relevant materials will be uploaded.

Final group exhibition

A final group show will be held at the end of the residency. The exhibition will be a collaborative effort by the participants, who will manage its conception, development, and realisation, with support available throughout the process. During the exhibition, the Hands-on Team will arrange private conversations between the public and the residents upon request, offering an opportunity to delve deeper into the artists' practices.
